What's New in Elastic Path 6.1.1
Dynamic Content
Dynamic Content enables Marketers to personalize the shopping experience for customers. The levels of personalization can be as simple as the display of a discount promotion for customers from a geographic region or as complex as the display of specific products based on customers' historical browsing and purchasing history.
- For Marketing users, there is a tutorial on creating a configuring Dynamic Content.
- For developers, there is a section on Dynamic Content and creating Content Wrappers in the Developer Guide.
- The Commerce Manager User Manual includes sections on the new dialogs for creating and configuring Content Spaces, Dynamic Content, and Dynamic Content Delivery.
Promotion Import/Export
The Import-Export tool now supports importing and exporting catalog and shopping cart promotions, optionally including associated rules (eligibilities and conditions) and actions. For more information, see the Import-Export Tool User Guide.
| Currently, there is a minor issue with limited usage promotions that prevents the INSERT import strategy from behaving correctly when importing promotions. If the package being imported contains an updated limited usage promotion and an updated coupon code, it will always be imported even if the import strategy is set to INSERT. To avoid problems, use either the INSERT_OR_UPDATE or UPDATE import strategy when importing promotions. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming release. |
System Configuration Settings Import/Export
The Import-Export tool now supports importing and exporting system configuration settings, optionally including associated values and metadata. For more information, see the Import-Export Tool User Guide.
Limited Usage Promotions
This new feature lets you apply a limit to the number of times apromotion can be taken by customers. It essentially creates a "Door Crasher" type special, whereby only the first x number of customers to buy a product receive the promotion when they checkout. For more information, see the Commerce Manager User Manual.
Search Server Clustering
It is now possible set up a search search cluster to enable load balanced search requests from the storefront. Several scripts are included to assist with setting up a search server cluster. For more information, see the Search server clustering section in the Deployment Guide.
