This tutorial will show you how to create a store that uses an existing catalog, warehouse, and visual theme in Elastic Path Commerce 6.1.

What you will learn

  • How to create a store in Elastic Path Commerce 6.1.
  • How to use configuration tabs to configure localization and other store settings.

Background

In this tutorial, you will add a new store named "The Camera Store" to your Elastic Path Commerce deployment. The store operates in California, USA and uses the US dollar as its default currency. It uses the same catalog as the Snap It Up store.

Prerequisites

Elastic Path 6.1 trial installation.

If you are using a full installation of Elastic Path Commerce 6.1 rather than the Trial version:
  • Make sure the Snap It Up demo store is installed. You will need to run all catalog and inventory import jobs.
  • If your Elastic Path Commerce storefront is running on your local system, add an entry to your hosts file so that you'll be able to access the new store using the URL http://www.camerastore.com. Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in a text editor and add this line:
    127.0.0.1 www.camerastore.com
